Being that Im a film photographer I always show brides pictures of different engagement dresses that Ive captured on film and they almost always understand why I prefer dresses that arent black (as shown below if they choose black I tell them to at least choose something with texture or at least a different option for a skirt)

Patterned pocket squares, floral ties, lapel pins, and the like will stand out in a not-always-good way in the boardroom, but here add some fully acceptable visual interest
